Many women grow up hearing plenty of warnings about sexuality but very little about God’s purpose for it. As a result, questions about desire, pleasure, intimacy, anatomy, and communication often remain unanswered. Even within marriage, many women silently wonder whether their experiences are normal, whether their needs matter, or whether God intended something more than frustration, confusion, or shame.
The truth is that these struggles are remarkably common. Research suggests that up to half of women report difficulty reaching orgasm with a partner at some point in their lives, and an estimated 10-15% of women have never experienced orgasm. Studies also show a persistent “orgasm gap” between men and women, with women reporting significantly lower rates of orgasm during partnered sexual activity. Experts consistently point to factors such as inadequate education, shame, poor communication, misunderstanding of female anatomy, and lack of emotional connection as contributing factors.
