Why I'm a coach:
My older sister was raped when I was only 12 years old. I didn't know what happened to her at the time. I only knew that something drastic happened that had a profound effect on her. When choosing a degree in college I wanted to go into the field of Psychology so I could help others even though I wasn't able to help my sister, but I chose a "safer" option, Secretarial Sciences. That led me to business and accounting and even real estate and then finally a BS degree in Human Services Management. While in my late 20's I became a certified instructor in a course that changed my life. It was "Calling and Caring Ministries" from LEAD Consultants. The communication skills I learned in that course changed me forever and deepened my desire to become a therapist so I could help people suffering from emotional trauma. After reaching 65 years of age God finally gave me the desire of my heart and I recently completed my certification to be a Mental Health Coach.
What I love most about coaching:
I love bringing joy to those who are burdened. I always feel good after I finish my sessions with clients.
I recharge on my day off by:
Watch YouTube videos to motivate me and educate me on gardening or cooking and also spiritually inspiring videos.
My three favorite things:
Cooking
Gardening
Quilting
