Why I'm a coach:
Purpose is often born out of pain. This has been true for me. Childhood trauma and resulting mental health diagnoses in adulthood led me on a feverish quest to find the love of Christ—which I had been told would bring healing and freedom to my soul. The journey has been longer and way more difficult than I ever expected, but after many years of desperately reaching for Jesus, I finally found the Gospel, and came to trust in God’s love for me. I have discovered that His love does change even the most frightened, hardened, and skeptical of hearts.
It was in some of my loneliest, most terrifying times that somehow I knew if God could ever rescue me from that utter darkness, I would help other women find their way to the Light. Daily I continue to grow in my understanding of God's love and how to walk in His ways. I count it a privilege to be able to share some of the ways that God has led me to freedom and peace with women who are seeking the same.
What I love most about coaching:
I love helping other women come to believe that their pain matters to God, and that He can be trusted to show them a way out of it. Leaving a session knowing that my time with a sister in need has made a difference is the best.
I recharge on my day off by:
-Having a movie/pizza/ice cream date with my family
-Biking and picnicking on Dauphin Island or canoeing Dog River
-Snuggling under a cozy quilt on a rainy day with a good book and my cat
-Playing piano from my old Southern Gospel hymnal
My three favorite things:
Getting lost in my adult children’s deep philosophical and spiritual discussions
Chilling with a Ty Gibson sermon on the love of God
Remembering Whose I am
