He Showed Up for Us

We never forget that one friend that shows up for us in the midst of a crisis. They imprint themselves upon our hearts forever. They don't have to say much; their face in the place is enough. Crisis negotiation experts call this "the ministry of presence," and it is well-documented to bring stability and sanity to escalated situations.

Each one of us will, at some point, encounter that dark night of the soul in which we feel sealed off from help and comfort. Jesus will show up for us, a light in the darkness, just as He showed up for the human race, God's Messiah, right on time and in perfect fulfillment of the prophecies.
